The following is a list and brief description of some of the educational lessons offered by the Rio Grande National Forest and San Luis Valley Bureau of Land Management. Lessons are grouped by location, age group, and subject. Not all lessons are listed and new lessons can be developed to meet specific needs.

Ranger-guided programs range in length from 20 minutes to a half-day, from seated auditorium presentations to guided hikes, and from onsite field trips to in-class programs to an online curriculum teachers can use on their own. All are correlated to Colorado State Content Standards.
